Federico Vione, CEO of W Group: “Fewer than 300 Italian companies have reached €1 billion in revenue. We’re proud to finally join this group of elite organizations and to have achieved this milestone through the acquisition of a foreign company. It’s thrilling to know we’ll be exporting our model abroad, offering new opportunities to the people who made this achievement possible!”
Milan, June 24, 2024 – W Group, a multi-brand, multi-market human resources solutions group founded and led by Federico Vione, has finalized the acquisition of Camo Groupe, a French company specializing in recruitment and temporary staffing.
This marks W Group's first acquisition outside of Italy. The Group is already internationally active with W Executive, brands specializing in executive search and HR advisory, operating in France, Spain, Switzerland, and the UK, with a combined workforce of 400 employees.
Following the recent addition of Magister Group, a multi-business corporation with brands such as ALI Lavoro, Labor-B, Repas, and Yous in Italy, this acquisition underscores W Group's consistent and steady growth.
With €125 million in revenue, 50 branches, and 170 employees, Camo Groupe’s integration will enable W Group to accelerate its journey toward becoming a key player at the European level. The total number of branches will rise to 250, and the Group’s workforce will grow to 1,600 employees.
W Group has thus reached €1 billion in revenue, a full year ahead of its strategic plan.
Camo Groupe will retain its identity, brand, and market position and will be led by Sébastien Bourdu, a seasoned professional in the field, who will report directly to Federico Vione.
Federico Vione, CEO of W Group, stated: “There’s a simple figure that best illustrates W Group’s growth: in 2021, when we started, we were about 300 people; today, with this acquisition, we’re reaching 1,600! This growth reflects our commitment to creating a model that attracts top talent, recognizes their value, and places trust in them.
Our unique ecosystem, inspired by international best practices, allows each Group brand to maintain its identity and distinct positioning while sharing expertise to generate collective value. Local presence, where businesses and communities operate, is central to this model, ensuring a deep understanding of local economic environments and needs.
The acquisition of Camo Groupe is a pivotal step in the internationalization of this model. I’m confident that, with Sébastien at the helm in France, W Group will extend its geographical leadership and build an increasingly extensive network of connections.”
Under its new CEO, Camo Groupe will expand its focus to include technical roles and aims to double its branches within five years, growing from 50 to 100. The strategic plan targets €1 billion in revenue in France through further acquisitions and organic business growth.
Jean-Claude Schneider, President and Founder of Camo Groupe, concluded: “Today’s milestone is an emotional one for me, achieved after decades dedicated to the company and our mission of promoting employment across France. Preserving Camo’s values and ensuring sustained, profitable growth were crucial factors in the decision to join W Group. I’m confident that I’m leaving a talented team and a financially healthy company in excellent hands as W Group leads it into this new chapter of development.”
