THE W GROUP STARTUP FOCUSES ON RECRUITING CYBERSECURITY, ERP, SOFTWARE, AND ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE PROFILES USING AN EXPERT-TO-EXPERT, CANDIDATE & DATA-DRIVEN APPROACH POWERED BY CONVERSATIONAL AI
November 26, 2024 – W Group, the multi-brand human resources solutions group founded and led by Federico Vione, announces the launch of Tissington, a startup specializing in IT talent recruitment with a candidate & data-driven approach unique to Italy. This innovative methodology disrupts the paradigms and operational models prevalent across the industry.
Tissington focuses on four highly specialized IT roles: Cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence, ERP, and Software Development. Through ongoing screening and engagement with professionals, the W Group startup maintains an up-to-date database of top talent, which it offers to companies, even non-clients, regardless of an active search for a specific position. This revolutionary model also introduces a performance-based remuneration system, eliminating activation costs and relying solely on a success fee tied to the professional’s placement.
These IT profiles are among the most sought-after by companies. According to recent data from ANPAL-Unioncamere, demand for IT positions has grown by 40% since 2021 and is projected to increase by another 30% by 2025. Such data underscores the importance of a pre-screened talent database to reduce recruitment time in these critical areas for businesses.
To achieve this, Tissington employs cutting-edge technological and operational solutions. Data screening tools identify the best available profiles, while conversational AI streamlines and refines initial interactions with the most promising candidates. A continually updated database ensures precise matching with potentially interested companies and, within those companies, with the heads of departments where such profiles could fit.
Given the technical nature of these roles and their skills, communication with companies follows an expert-to-expert approach. This means engaging not only HR departments but also the heads of IT (or equivalent) departments where Tissington candidates would be placed.
This expert-to-expert, data & candidate-driven recruitment model is a first in Italy, replicating international best practices employed by leading global firms. The idea to bring it to Italy comes from Pietro Valdes and Giuseppe Guerra, CEO & Founder and Senior Equity Partner & Founder of W-Executive, who have appointed Matteo Belviso as Head of Tissington.
Matteo Belviso, 37, has extensive international experience across various fields and is now returning to Italy to bring his expertise home. “Tissington was born from an ambitious idea: acknowledging the shift in labor market paradigms where talent now takes the lead. I am incredibly proud that Federico Vione, Pietro Valdes, and Giuseppe Guerra entrusted me to create a company that prioritizes the candidate, establishing an expert-to-expert model where candidates directly engage with function heads within companies,” he said. “Thanks to our technological approach, we stay updated on current business needs, anticipate future ones, and continuously nurture a talent pool ready for placement even before the need arises. This is essential as demand for such candidates remains constant. While we are currently a lean startup, we have ambitious growth targets: within two years, we aim to exceed 50 team members, working solely on a success-fee basis, where success is defined by the successful placement of candidates.”
Tissington is headquartered in Bari, Italy, but given the nature of its work, its professionals operate fully remotely. This allows other founders, like Belviso, to bring their international expertise back to Italy and collaborate with local companies. In addition to economic growth goals, Tissington aims for international expansion. In the medium term, it plans to build a multilingual team of at least 50 professionals, operating in various markets, prioritizing countries such as France, Germany, the USA, and the UAE.
Federico Vione, CEO of W Group, added: “From Bari to London, and from London to… anywhere! Matteo’s talent and ambition reminded me once again of the importance of supporting brain gain, facilitating the return of Italian professionals from abroad who, with their incredible ideas, can contribute to our economy’s growth. We immediately believed in him: we’re combining our industry expertise with Tissington’s advanced technologies to recruit IT talent that will make a real difference. After all, W Group was created for this purpose: building companies around people, forming a group-ecosystem that helps individuals achieve their professional dreams.
In three years, we’ve surpassed €1 billion in revenue and grown to 1,600 employees. In addition to Italy, we’re already active in other key markets like France. With Tissington, we reaffirm our capacity for innovation and our drive to meet businesses’ current and future needs. I’m confident that Matteo and his team will deliver outstanding results, introducing a recruitment model in our country that will set new standards.”
